The Issue

Adult problems such as separation, divorce, substance abuse, domestic violence unfairly impact the lives of children. Supervised contact ordered by the Family Court or sometimes arranged privately attempts to restore  links that have been broken by serious  breakdowns within families.

The Solution

 Family Friend is a Supervised Contact Service that allows parents and children  to reconnect following family disruption..
We have 20+ years of experience assisting non-custodial parents [as well, as grandparents] and their children reconnect with each other in a safe environment. 

What we do.

Supervised Contact Services

 Keep children safe and their families in contact by providing

• Safe contact for children
• Support for parents, children, grandparents and carers
• Contact at a distance using Zoom in quiet and private surroundings.
• Mediation services

Supervised contact ordered by the Family Court is paid for by the Government for a fixed number of supervised visits ; this may be up to fourteen visits in the first instance. More visits may be approved if the Court decides it is important to do so.
​Private sessions are also available.

Family Friend Supervised Contact Services have qualified personnel to provide supervised contact within the Greater Wellington Region.
This includes Wellington, Porirua, Lower Hutt , Upper Hutt and the Kapiti Coast. 
Supervised contacts are arranged by our Co-ordinator with both parties at convenient indoor and outdoor venues.
